Love for Ukraine, But Life Moves Forward
Natalya’s heart has always belonged to her homeland — Ukraine, a place of resilience, strength, and deep emotional roots. Even when life demanded change, she carried that connection within her. But sometimes life pushes us forward before we feel ready. This chapter marks the beginning of new beginnings in Moscow, a time that would change her personal and artistic path forever.
A Letter That Changed Everything
While staying in Ankara, Turkey, Natalya received unexpected news from her mother — a letter had arrived. It was from Yevgeniya, a mentor and friend she had not seen in seven years. The emotions were overwhelming. Yevgeniya had always believed in her talent and now invited her to come to Moscow and explore new opportunities together. With no clear plan but a strong feeling of trust, Natalya decided to follow this new direction.
Returning Home, Then Stepping into the Unknown
Before leaving, she returned to Ukraine for several precious months with her family, knowing that another big change was ahead. Soon after, she moved to Moscow — a city full of energy, possibility, and challenge. There she discovered the School of Indian Classical Dance at the Indian Embassy, where she began studying Kathak, learning Hindi, playing tabla, and performing with the student group. Under the guidance of guru Ashwani Nigam, dance became not only technique but deep artistic and spiritual exploration.

Surviving and Thriving: First Professional Stages
At the same time, reality required building a career. Together with Yevgeniya, she searched for dance opportunities and entered the growing world of Bellydance performances in Moscow. One unforgettable meeting changed everything — respected instructor and show manager Alla Kaplanovna watched her dance, offered her a costume, and said simply: “Start tonight.” Within hours Natalya was on stage, joining a strong sisterhood of dancers and finding her place in a rapidly growing scene.

In just a few hours, Natalya learned the group's program and performed her first show at Shakherezada. She quickly became part of an incredible sisterhood — a group of talented, strong, supportive women who welcomed her as one of their own.

For years, they performed together every night, creating magic on stage and in life.
Growth and Leadership

What started as performances quickly became a professional path. Years of regular shows, rehearsals, and collaboration helped her grow as an artist. When Alla had to leave unexpectedly, Natalya was invited to take over the program. She stepped into leadership — becoming both soloist and show manager, creating choreography, mentoring dancers, and learning how to lead with confidence and vision. Moscow was shaping her into more than a performer.
India and a New Sense of Purpose

Natalya didn’t hesitate. And the moment she stepped onto Indian soil, she felt it deep in her bones — a connection she couldn’t explain.
The scent of the air, the vibrant colors of the earth, the saris, the buildings — it was as if she had returned to a forgotten motherland.
Visiting Taj Mahal, exploring Jaipur, walking along Juhu Beach — every experience was pure magic, forever etched in her heart.
Moscow: The Door to a New Life
During this period, another dream came true — a New Year’s trip to India with friends from Moscow. Visiting Delhi, Agra, and Mumbai felt deeply familiar, as if reconnecting with something she had always known. The colors, music, and atmosphere left a lasting mark on her soul. Looking back, Moscow became the place where everything shifted — where a young dancer found direction, purpose, and the beginning of the artist the world would later know as Nalini.
